Through the Years

I've been collecting Tolkien memorabilia since early 2002, starting with my dad's old LOTR set and random pickings he found in used bookstores. And since then it has grown much more than I ever thought it would! So this post will be about my collection's journey over the last 12 years.

Tolkien Headcanons #1

After Frodo leaves for the Grey Havens, I have this headcanon about Sam. When Sam is by himself I feel like he would sometimes talk to himself, as if he was talking to Frodo.

I imagine Sam sitting outside in his garden when it's nice out, or resting in his favorite chair looking out the window telling Frodo about his day, what his children are up to. Maybe laughing to himself as he recalls their adventures.

But after he's done speaking I have this image in my head... of all the joy leaving his face. And then I see him tearing up and softly crying as he quietly tells Frodo he misses him.

I made myself sad.
